See You Later

Craig and I have planned and worked, worked and planned trying to overcome all sorts of obstacles in order to start our sailing adventure. But, it seemed as though the adventure would remain just a dream.   We would be stuck in a marina forever and never cast the lines.

Stop The Merry-Go-Round

With delay after delay and working on boat projects day after day, we were stuck on a not so pleasant Merry-go-round. But, the hard work and perseverance has paid off.  Who would have thought this day would actually happen?

Craig, Bonny, and I are making final preparations to set sail and get this adventure started.  We have a good weather window and are heading east to the Florida coast.

Next Stop Florida

As we begin this adventure, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers .  Even though hurricane season is over, Mother Nature can be very fickle.  Pray she doesn’t have any surprises or tricks up her sleeve and we have fair winds and following seas for our 5-6 day passage across the Gulf of Mexico.

After arrival, we will rest for a few days then continue sailing down the Florida coast with a goal of being anchored in Key West for Christmas.

After While Crocodile

In the crazy nomadic life of a sailboat cruiser one is constantly on the move. You never staying in one place too long but are fortunate to meet an abundance of new people albeit just temporarily.  Therefore a sailor never says “Goodbye”.  The customary phrase is “See you later” as hopefully your paths will cross again on day.  So I will close by saying “See you later”.
